Born and raised in the Crenshaw District of South Los Angeles, Denise attended Trade Tech College for Business after graduating from high school. Her first job was at Sears. She juggled both full-time working mom and full-time student for a while, but decided she would just stick with being a full-time working mom.
She started off as a sales associate, and tells us that in engaging and interacting with the customers, she discovered valuable customer service skills. Denise worked her way up to lead manager. She appreciates Sears and their company culture, and says it was there that she learned about integrity, leadership and building a knowledge base in whatever she does.
From there Denise worked for United Airlines in the unique position of “Gate Gourmet.” She assembled unique food dishes, through United’s Global Alliance with Emirates Airlines, and also learned about the Halal culture. A year after starting at United, she began dispatching vehicles in their transportation wing.
As a Dispatch Supervisor, she enjoys being productive, innovative, taking initiative and being pro-active. She regularly interacts with her team, the drivers, and our customers, and loves when they’re satisfied.
When she’s off-duty, she is either at home with her three wonderful children, or enjoying hanging out with them and her extended family at amusement parks, going out to eat, watching movies, touring LA attractions or attending social outings.
